2015 marks a very special anniversary for the Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir.
Through-out this year Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir will celebrate its history and many achievements, reminisce with friends and look forward to the future where we hope that the Choir will continue to go from strength to strength.
In 1940, 75 years ago, at the Climax Rock Drill and Engineering Works, 2 workers on the roof saw the burning glow of fires in Plymouth caused by the bombing of the naval base at Devonport.
This touched the hearts of these workers who with their friends and colleagues decided to form a small choir to raise funds to help and alleviate the distress of those injured and displaced by the bombing. The rest is history…
