During the Gala Concert held at Camborne Centenary Church on Friday 3rd May 2019 as part of the biennial Cornwall International Male Choral Festival, Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir were delight to be presented with the President’s Plate from the Cornish Federation of Male Voice Choirs.

The President’s Plate is awarded annually to the Choir who demonstrate the greatest involvement with their local community – working with young people and schools and to encourage young people to engage with male voice singing. This year there were 9 entries and Holman-Climax are thrilled and delighted to have been picked by Lady Mary St Levan – President of the Cornish Federation of Male Voice Choirs, as this year’s winners.

The President’s Plate was presented to Rodney Grigg – Chairman of Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir by Phil Taylor – Chairman of the Cornish Federation of Male Voice Choirs. In accepting this prestigious award Rodney paid tribute to the past and current members of the Choir who have worked tirelessly for the Choir. Firstly to those involved in originally setting up the successful Community Concerts and to those who have kept them going as they are proving to be a foundation to our continued engagement with the Community.
