On Friday 31st July 2015, the Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir held its Annual General Meeting at the last rehearsal before the Summer Break. Before the AGM the choir had a new official photograph taken to mark it 75th Anniversary Year.
In his first report as Musical Director Andrew Thomas thanked the Choir and Committee for all their support and encouragement, noting that several former members had re-joined and that 4 new members had joined. Musically the effort and enthusiasm of the Choir is apparent in the singing, with audience clearly enjoying recent performances. Andrew thanked Ria Clemens for her wonderful assistance, enthusiasm and dedication at practices and concerts and remarked that she was a wonderful asset to the the Choir.
Through out the year a number of choir members reached significant milestones in their singing careers with Holman-Climax Male Voice Choir which was formally acknowledged by the presentation of Long Service Certificates from the Choir.
The guest of honour was John Trethewey – Treasurer of the Cornish Federation of Male Voice Choirs also presented certificates on behalf of the Federation for long service to male voice choirs which includes previous service with other choirs.
The choir as always extend a warm welcome to anyone who wished to sample male voice singing at the Friday night rehearsals at 7.30pm that recommence on Friday 4th September 2015 at Camborne School.
