It was a proud moment for the Choir when our Musical Director Angela Renshaw was made a Cornish Bard for her creativity in Cornish Music. Also our former Musical Director Roger Wills who was already a Bard was awarded the Music Shield in recognition of his outstanding services to music in Cornwall. The Choir wish to warmly congratulate them both on their achievements and are truly grateful for the contributions they have both made to our Choir.

The Gorsedh was held in College Field in Penryn which is the historic site of Glasney College founded by Bishop Bronescombe in 1265. Unfortunately little remains of the College however it was a fitting location for the Gorsedh to celebrate the achievements of the new bards as it is steeped in Cornish history.
